Catching Big Tarpon in Islamorada, Florida Keys
Tarpon season is one of our busiest times here in the Florida Keys. We catch small tarpon throughout the year, but depending on the weather the big boys start arriving in March or April. This year we had some warm temperatures early and we had about a week of catching the big ones. It has cooled down a little so they haven't been biting for the last week but the weather coming up is going to warmer and they should get happy again soon.
One of my regular clients, Serge, loves to catch the big tarpon. He was lucky enough to be here early in March when the weather was perfect. Below you will see a few pics from the big tarpon he caught two weeks ago. He has already scheduled his next trip!
