Great Bonefishing Adventure in Islamorada, Florida
It has been a beautiful President's Day Weekend here in the Florida Keys. Today I took out long time clients, James Holmes from Richmond, out fishing in Islamorada.
James, his wife Andrea and their two kids have fished with me numerous times, however, today it was just James so we decided to do a little bonefishing. In the past he has caught snook, tarpon, reds, snappers, groupers and more so today we wanted to do something new.
We were excited when we saw the elusive fish tailing. He had several shots before he had one on. He was stoked to bring that first one to the boat. He had another one on after that but unfortunately, he lost it.
James has caught numerous bonefish in the Bahamas but this was his first Islamorada "bonie".
We will be back at it tomorrow!
