Father - Son Fishing Charter in the Florida Keys
Caleb and Matthew are great friends who met at camp in Texas. Caleb and his father Scott are from Atlanta, Georgia and Matthew and his father are from Wichita, Kansas. Both boys are avid fresh water fishermen so their fathers planned a special trip to Islamorada, Florida for them to do a little salt water fishing.
I put together a two boat trip with myself and Capt. Mark Gilman on Monday and Wednesday for inshore fishing and I arranged for them to go offshore fishing with Capt. James Chappell on Tuesday.
Even though they did not have great weather both backcountry days were jammed packed with lots of action. They caught a little of everything, including; tarpon, snook, snappers, groupers, huge sharks, Goliath groupers, Spanish mackerel, jacks and bluefish. We had to alter our leave times and fish around some of the rain storms but they boys weren't going to let a little rain ruin their good time.
They had to deal with rainy weather on their offshore day as well but they had lots of action catching yellowtail snappers with Captain James Chappell of Catchalottafish Charters.
The boys and their fathers had a great time and are already looking forward to their next visit to do some Spring Tarpon fishing.
Here is what Scott had to say about their fishing trip to Islamorada, Florida:
"I took my 11 year old son out with Tony 2 days in December and had great days fishing. We could not have caught more fish (species, size and quantity) and enjoyed every moment. Even with bad weather one day, Tony made the experience great. Tony was patient and personable paying particular attention to my son and answering all of his questions and letting him have fun the whole time. I could not recommend Tony more highly. I will be coming back in April with my son. If you want to discuss the trip in more detail, please call 678-824-7878 and I will be glad to discuss trip." Scott McMickle
